WHAT ARE THE RIGHTS OF WOMEN AFTER DIVORCE?
THE WOMEN IN INDIA HAVE THE FOLLOWING RIGHTS AFTER DIVORCE;
1) Right Against Bigamy: Untill the divorce finally takes place and all the arrears paid the husband is not permitted to go for a second mmarriage. Even after an order for divorce is passed.
2) Right To Miantainance and Alimony: It is the amount which the husband has to pay to the wife after divorce either as one whole or as monthly installments for the welfare and survival of the wife.
3) Right To Streedhan: Streedhan is an intellactual property of the wife and no one even the husband as a say on it during the subsitence of marriage or even after divorce.
4) Right To Residence: The wife can also seek for the residential accomodation.
