Sangappa Mittalkod is a distinguished legal professional and Retired District & Sessions Judge from the Karnataka State Judiciary, having rendered over three decades of exemplary judicial service. During his tenure on the Bench, he presided over a wide spectrum of civil and criminal matters, earning recognition for his integrity, judicial acumen, and commitment to the fair and timely administration of justice.
Following his retirement from the judiciary, he commenced legal practice as a Senior Advocate at the High Court of Karnataka, Dharwad Bench, where he continues to advise and represent clients in complex legal matters. His vast judicial experience provides clients with invaluable strategic insight into litigation and dispute resolution.
Beyond his legal practice, Shri Mittalkod is deeply committed to public service and legal reform. He actively supports several anti-corruption organizations as a legal advisor and has dedicated significant efforts toward promoting transparency, accountability, and ethical governance. He is also a respected legal author, having written five law books in Kannada along with numerous articles on diverse legal subjects published in both Kannada and English.
Passionate about legal education, Shri Mittalkod has mentored and trained numerous young advocates preparing for Judicial Services and Public Prosecutor examinations. His mission is to nurture the next generation of legal professionals by emphasizing ethical advocacy, professional excellence, and public service.
